Question: Is an Education loan mandatory? What if students don’t want to avail loan?
Answer: Yes, the Education Loan is mandatory. This takes the place of all the financial paperwork that you had to do in the past. They are only asking for the first year’s cost of living which they have calculated at $8,000. A larger loan is required if they don't pay their first years tuition. ($8,000 + the difference of what was paid and the full year’s tuition).
Question: Shall we ask the student to prepare the financial documents or only education loan would be sufficient to get visa?
Answer: Just the Education loan is required to file student visa however CHC can ask for proof of funds shown in the application.
Question: What if a student has already written a TOEFL test. Do they have to write the IELTS as well?
Answer: Under the SPP, TOEFL is no longer acceptable. Only IELTS exam score is acceptable
